Chauncey was raised in Southwest Florida, which he has called home for 31 of his 46 years. Living on Sanibel with his wife, Allison, and their three sons, Chauncey grew up in a politically-aware household and learned the true meaning of public service from his father, Porter Goss.

As a professional, Chauncey has worked in a variety of public, non-profit, and private organizations with duties directly related to fiscal policy analysis and federal budgeting.
